CNC Laser Cutting Services in Mumbai
DecorMech provides precision CNC laser cutting services in Mumbai on a modern fibre laser machine. From single prototypes to bulk production runs, we cut mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper and GI sheets with tight tolerances, clean burr-free edges and zero tooling cost. Same-week turnaround on standard jobs.
What is CNC laser cutting?
CNC laser cutting uses a high-power focused laser beam, controlled by computer (CNC), to cut shapes from sheet metal. The laser melts and vaporises the metal along the cut path while a high-pressure assist gas (oxygen, nitrogen or compressed air) blows the molten material clear, leaving a clean, precise edge.
Compared to traditional cutting methods like punching, plasma or shearing, fibre laser cutting offers three big advantages: no tooling cost (any shape, any time, no dies), much tighter tolerances (typically ±0.1 mm), and cleaner edges that often need no secondary finishing.

Laser cutting by material
Different materials behave very differently under a laser. We’ve optimised cutting parameters for each — pick the page that matches your project for material-specific specs and applications.
- Stainless Steel Laser Cutting — SS 304 and SS 316 for pharma, food-grade, marine and architectural work
- Mild Steel Laser Cutting — structural, enclosures, decorative grills and jali
- Aluminium Laser Cutting — lightweight enclosures, signage, automotive parts
- Brass & Copper Laser Cutting — decorative panels, electrical, designer applications
- GI Sheet Laser Cutting — outdoor structures, ducting, pre-coated panels
- Decorative Laser Cutting — jali, grills, room dividers, wall cladding
Industries we serve with laser cutting
Mumbai-based clients across every industrial sector use our laser cutting services:
- Architecture & interior design — laser-cut jali, decorative grills, partitions, gates, wall cladding
- Pharmaceutical — SS 304/316 cabinet panels, equipment frames, trolley parts
- Automotive — brackets, gussets, mounting plates, prototype components
- Electrical & electronics — panel boxes, DB enclosures, mounting plates, gland plates

How our laser cutting process works
- Send your drawing — DXF and DWG are ideal; PDF or hand sketch with dimensions also works.
- Drawing review & quote — we check for manufacturability, suggest changes that save cost or improve quality, and quote within 24 hours.
- Approval & nesting — once you approve, we nest your parts on the sheet to minimise material wastage.
- Cutting — your parts are cut with assist gas selected for your material (nitrogen for clean SS edges, oxygen for thicker MS).
- Inspection & deburring — every order is inspected for dimensions and edge quality. Light deburring on request.
- Dispatch — collected from our facility or delivered across Mumbai metropolitan region.
Why choose DecorMech for laser cutting in Mumbai
- Fast turnaround — 2 to 4 working days for standard jobs; rush available.
- No minimum order — single prototype or 5,000-piece run, same shop.
- Free DFM advice — drawing review at quote stage, not after the fact.
- Tight tolerances — ±0.1 mm typical, suitable for parts that go straight to assembly.
- One-roof finishing — bending, welding and powder coating in the same facility, on the same job number.
- Honest pricing — itemised quotes, no hidden costs, transparent material pricing.
Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum thickness you can cut?
For mild steel up to 20 mm; stainless steel up to 12 mm; aluminium up to 8 mm; brass and copper up to 5 mm. Maximum cut quality depends on the assist gas and the requirements of your application — send us your drawing and we’ll confirm what’s optimal.
What is the tolerance you can achieve?
±0.1 mm is typical on most sheet thicknesses. Tighter tolerances are achievable on thinner sheet (≤3 mm) for critical features. For very tight tolerances we recommend specifying them clearly on the drawing so we can plan accordingly.
What’s the difference between fibre laser and CO2 laser cutting?
Fibre lasers (what we use) are faster, more energy-efficient and significantly better for cutting reflective metals like aluminium, brass and copper. CO2 lasers are an older technology, slower on metal, and not recommended for highly reflective materials. For sheet-metal cutting in 2026, fibre is the right choice.
Can you cut my logo or a custom decorative pattern?
Yes — provide a vector file (DXF, AI, SVG) and we can cut almost any decorative pattern. For complex jali and decorative panels we can also help refine the file to ensure structural integrity in the final piece.
Do you charge for nesting and CAM programming?
No, nesting and basic CAM programming is included in our quoted price. If your file needs significant CAD cleanup or redrawing, we’ll mention it transparently in the quote.
Can I bring my own sheet, or do you supply the material?
Both options are fine. Most clients have us supply the sheet — we hold all standard materials in common thicknesses. If you have specific material certified to a particular grade, you’re welcome to provide it; we’ll process it as job-work cutting.
Do you offer same-day or rush laser cutting?
Yes, depending on machine load and material availability. WhatsApp us with your drawing and required date — we’ll confirm if we can meet the deadline before you commit.
Ready to start your laser cutting project?
Send us your DXF, DWG or PDF and you’ll have a detailed quote within one working day. No obligations, no follow-up calls unless you ask for them.
